2014 Wrap Up

Thank you to those who invited me into your lives to document, laugh and feel as if I'm part of your family. My job is so fun and rewarding that it doesn't even feel like work (at times!). Cheers to an amazing year of growth, new relationships and I'm looking forward to what's to come.

2013 Wrap Up
2013-wrap-up21.jpg

It's been one of the best and worst years of my life. I've never lost so many loved ones in such a short amount of time. It's really changed my perspective on what is important to me. For instance, I'm learning to enjoy being in the moment more (one reason why this post is coming in a couple days past the new year). Another, to fight for what I love and not letting anyone or anything get in the way. I'll never be the best mom/wife/photographer in the world, but learning to have the same passion in each of my roles helps me to strive to be a better version of myself.

Thank you to my friends, family and clients that believed in me and my vision for 2013. I am so so thankful for each of you...now let's see what kind of crazy adventure 2014 can hold!

xoxo,

Meo

Celebrate Life Portrait Sessions//Now is Always the Time//SF Family Photographer

Dedicated to Janina.

This week I lost a friend & a client. It was tough to swallow the bad news. It was surreal since we had just spent an afternoon photographing her son's high school senior portraits. We laughed that she got out of a speeding ticket on her way to meet me. We rocked my first ever senior boy session and left with great big hugs and plans for future sessions.

Had I known it would be my last time getting to hear her loud Latina laugh I would've taken more than 4 pictures of her with Jairo. I should've ignored her request to not have her in the pictures because her hair wasn't done. I should've taken some of her hugging her kids. I should've should've should've.....

Thank you, Janina for your friendship & inspiration.

I've decided to start a portrait project. Celebrate Life.

I'll make it quick. We had an amazing weekend that was just the perfect pace.

Kicked it off with breakfast at the Community Cafe (cinnamon walnut french toast---AH-MAZING!)

Massage, Facial and Goodies from Body Karma. Super sweet girls, and very reasonably priced for a good massage.

Stayed at the GORGEOUS Chanric Inn Bed & Breakfast in Calistoga. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Clean, friendly and the best coffee & homemade brunch. A pretty little veranda, plenty of places to sit and drink and chat.

Crazy dinner at Hydro Grill, where I hope the owner calls Restaurant Stakeout SOON!!!

Next day, picnicked and wined at V Sattui winery. THE BEST fresh mozzarella and tomatoes I've had since Spain. Ughhhh I could eat those everyday. We got to hang out and nap under the trees and breeze in the afternoon shade. It was so pleasant to be able to take a break from doing anything.

Anyhow, a quick girls weekend in Napa Valley was a perfect early birthday celebration for Jenny & me.

Enjoy!
