Most people don't think about hiring a photographer for birthday parties or baby showers. You put so much effort into planning and preparing for your party, why not enjoy it?! You can't be everywhere at once, and you will miss out on so much if you're not in the moment. Believe me, I've tried to photograph my own events (same goes for vacations!). I'm so happy when families invite me into their important moments. It's seriously an honor to document the day so they can actually be a part of it. I hope you enjoy this one!

How cute is this Pinterest worthy Once Upon a Time themed baby shower? Instead of your typical Disney Princess stuff, each table had a centerpieces from different stories like Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Frozen, The Little Mermaid (my favorite!) and Beauty and the Beast.
Before all the festivities, we got to sneak in a few minutes for a quickie maternity session (including the dog!). Thanks to a local friend, we had a quiet spot off the beaten path with delicious sunlight peeking through the leaves.

Happy 18th Birthday Jeilysse!! What an honor to photograph this pivotal moment in a young woman's life. There was dancing and more dancing, and singing and yes, even rapping (sort of...j/k). It's a Filipino tradition for when a girl turns 18. There was a whole entourage of her friends and family that all participated in multiple dances. Some were traditional & some performed some amazing contemporary pieces.
In between, there is the 18 Roses dance. It was memorable because while each special gentleman in her life presented her with a rose and a dance, a lovely lady lit one of her 18 candles and told stories of their life and friendship with the debutant. It was very heartwarming to see how greatly she has affected those lives around her.
