It started with a latte. No, seriously. They met for the first time at a coffee shop in Oakland that quickly turned into a magical Happy Hour date with sweet potato fries and great conversation. (I already love them for this) Besides selecting the chapel at Oakland Mills College, they had so many special moments for their ceremony. Destiny Muhammed blessed the guests with her gracious (& badass) harp skills. She serenaded the processional with her version of India Arie's Ready for Love and it was amazing. Another one of the girls read from The Alchemist (posted below) that touched the hearts of everyone. The ceremony commenced with the traditional of Jumping the Broom and a sweet kiss to kick off their new life together.

I am so honored and blessed to have taken part in such a special occasion.

Whether its in the middle of the desert or in some great city. And when two such people encounter each other, and their eyes meet, the past and the future become unimportant. There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love and makes a twin soul for every person in the world. Without such love, one's dreams would have no meaning. Maktub..”
