A couple years back I did a boudoir session for my husband's birthday. I just had a baby, so naturally was insecure about my body. A couple vodka shots and a corset later, my photographer made me feel sexy and gorgeous. We still keep our calendar up (even though it's the wrong year lol). I can't tell you how much I look back on those images and am so glad I didn't wait until I had the perfect body, size, shape or whatever other lie I told myself. Just do it, now. ____________________________________________________

I couldn't be more thrilled with today's boudoir session. It's a first for the new Benicia studio, so I couldn't wait to try out some new backdrops and our handmade skirts. Oh yeah, me with a glue gun, some flowers & feathers is magical. Marcie came through and saved the day to help teach me basic sewing 101. Yes, I even had to relearn how to tie a knot.

Back on topic. Officially calling my glamour & boudoir sessions "Encore".

I've been working on direction and style for nearly a year, and figured it was about time to name my baby.

I will be making a quick video showing off our new pieces and what outfits are in the making.

Serious and sassiness. I've known these two sisters for a couple years now and they are just blossoming into little young ladies. I had a fabulous time dancing around to Gangnam Style and acting silly with them.

Ahh, to be 15 and carefree again. In my head I feel like 15 wasn't that long ago, when in reality it was a very long time ago when Sisqo's blonde hair was somehow trendy and people rocked every color Fubu shirts. Have I lost you yet? Anyhow, meet Mariana. This girl is beyond beautiful. The world is yours.

Maria, Maria...such a beautiful soul. You can see right into it in each frame. I met her at a charity event I shot over the summer called Fashion for Freedom. Maria was the lucky raffle winner of a full makeover session. She showed up with a portion of her closet, and her garment bags were full of beautiful dresses. Some from Italy, some sparkly, some rich fabrics and a rockin' deep red Alexander Wang (which I then added a corset and my  homemade tulle skirt.)

It was like playing dress up in your mom's closet, only everything was fitted and no shoulder pads.

Some people are just naturals. Sharifa is one of those ladies. The second I put my camera on the tripod and told her to "stand over there", she fell right into place. This mother of two looks stunning and radiates confidence in a modest way. Maybe this will kick start a career for America's Next Top Model? :)
